This 8 week programme will develop your strength for lifts and inversions (handstands, cartwheels, holding own bodyweight). Through progressive overload we will target upper body and core strength for stability, moving in a range of different movement planes to replicate movement patterns found in dance choreography.

 

Upper body strength training isn't just the realm of male dancers, all dancers should be developing their upper body strength for the demands of choreography and this plan is a great place to start!

 

Minimal equipment required although a gym would be most useful. Training is delivered via TrainingPeaks App which is free to download.
