Strength and conditioning coaching
Strength and conditioning focuses on training the elite athlete (and yes that includes performing artists!) to improve their performance and reduce the risk of injury.
I specialise in training dancers and circus artists to meet the demands of their performance through increased strength, endurance and good foundational movement patterns. Including strength and conditioning training alongside your discipline/genre specific technical training will protect your joints, particularly if you are hypermobile, and provide you with a good base of strength to perform to the best of your ability.
We know that dance class alone will not improve components of physical fitness including aerobic and anaerobic fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance and power. Therefore it is important to add training sessions into your programme, ideally with a coach who can plan bespoke training to help you reach your own individual goals and plan your training with your body and abilities in mind.
